–Seth Broadhead (Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, Sous Chef, Farmer and most of all Son, Grandson, Brother, Cousin, Nephew and now, Uncle)
gourmet chef for over ten years. Her first food experience was cooking for her 3 younger sisters growing up; years down the road she found herself owning a small cafe with a big name down in southern California, managing the food for anything from large weddings and smaller office meals: All while working as the full-time food and beverage manager for a large retirement community. After relocating to a slower paced lifestyle in Occidental, CA a few years ago she decided to take off the chef’s hat and soak in the scenery. “I thought I knew about food until I got to Sonoma County. The slow food movement, and all of the farmer’s I have met here so far have really inspired me to get back in the kitchen”. After dusting off her chef’s hat, she is at it again–providing honest, professional food to the local community again. Working hand in hand with Rachel during the “cafe days” of catering, Seth eventually was running smaller 50 person full service gigs for the family by himself. Taking his knowledge from those experiences, and picking more up along the way, he has since worked as a coffee shop manager and a customer service/marketing assistant for a large seed company out of Petaluma. Now, he is living in an intentional community in northern Sebastopol and runs an organic farm on the land. A homesteader at heart, he spends most of his time trying to learn how to live off the land while forming mutually beneficial relationships with local farmers.
Just getting into high school, this towering giant (6′ 2″!!) can be seen with us at festivals and other events serving delicious food. An amazing artist, his paintings can be seen all over Rachel’s house–contributing to the aura quite nicely. A quick learner, he’s becoming a part of the team very fast.
